The Message Transfer Status page displays information about the TCP/IP link between the POA and MTA.
Current Status
Open: The POA can communicate with the MTA for sending and receiving messages. Click the status to display information about the outbound or inbound link.
Closed: The POA cannot communicate with the MTA. For assistance with closed domains, see Troubleshooting 2: Solutions to Common Problems.
Unavailable: The POA is not yet configured for TCP/IP communication with the MTA. TCP/IP links are configured in ConsoleOne® (POA object > GroupWise tab > Network Address page and Tools > GroupWise Utilities > Link Configuration > Edit Post Office Link).
Unknown: The POA is unable to contact the MTA in any way.
Last Closed
Displays the last date and time when the link between the POA and the MTA was closed.
Last Opened
Displays the last date and time when the link between the POA and the MTA was opened.
Last Closure Reason
Provides an explanation of why the post office was last closed. For troubleshooting assistance, you can look up last closure reasons in Troubleshooting 1: Error Messages.
Outbound TCP/IP
Displays the TCP/IP address and port number where the MTA listens for messages from the POA. Click Outbound TCP/IP to display the Status page of the MTA Web console.
Inbound TCP/IP
Displays the TCP/IP address and port number where the POA listens for message from the MTA.
Hold
Displays the path to the directory where the POA stores messages if the TCP/IP link to the MTA is closed or is backlogged due to unusually heavy message traffic or a slow WAN link. Click Hold to display the contents of the hold queue.
Message Transfer Statistics
Displays how many messages the POA has sent and received during the current POA session.
