Scheduled Events

The Scheduled Events page lists disk check events and other recurring cycles of POA processing. The scheduled events are listed in the order in which they will occur on your system. Some system-invoked events might also be listed.

Disk Check

Lists all disk check events that the POA is scheduled for, along with status and scheduling information. Additional information about disk check events, as well as mailbox/library maintenance events, is available at the bottom of the Configuration page.

By default, the POA performs one recurring disk space management event. Every 5 minutes, the POA checks to make sure there is at least 100 MB of free disk space in the post office directory. If there is ever less than 100 MB of free disk space, the POA performs a Reduce operation on the user and message databases in the post office.

You can modify the default disk check event, or create additional disk check events in ConsoleOne® (POA object > GroupWise tab > Scheduled Events page).

QuickFinder Indexing

Lists status and scheduling information for the POA's QuickFinder™ indexing cycle.

By default, the POA indexes messages and documents in the post office every 24 hours at 8:00 p.m.

You can change the POA indexing cycle for the current POA session or perform indexing functions immediately using the QuickFinder Indexing link on the Configuration page. You can change the QuickFinder indexing cycle permanently in ConsoleOne (POA object > GroupWise tab > QuickFinder page).

Remote Downloadable Address Book Generation

Lists status and scheduling information for the POA's Address Book generation cycle.

By default, the POA generates a daily copy of the system Address Book at midnight so that an up-to-date version is always available for GroupWise® Remote client users to download.

You can change the Address Book generation cycle for the current POA session or generate a copy of the Address Book immediately using the Nightly Remote Downloadable Address Book Generation link on the Configuration page. You can change the Address Book generation cycle permanently in ConsoleOne (POA object > GroupWise tab > Maintenance page).
